Digital Support Services T Level

T Levels are two-year courses in England that can be studied by 16-18 year olds after finishing their GCSEs.

This T Level course comprises of three key elements - core knowledge delivery, work placed training and an employer led project. You will learn as part of your course how digital skills are fundamental to businesses, digital infrastructure, networking, unified communications, fault finding and cyber-security. The second aspect of the course will be a work placement where you will gain on the job technical skills relevant to your course. As part of the course you will be set a work based project which will allow you to apply the knowledge and skills you have gained.

Entry requirements

  • 4 GCSEs grades 9-4 including English Language and Maths.
  • A strong desire to undertake work placement in a digital field.

Course content

  • Work Placement (40-50 days) 
  • Digital technical knowledge
  • Workplace project

The work placement will provide an opportunity to learn and apply technical skills gained during the qualification. This placement will be within a company or organisation which is within the digital sector or delivering digital skills. Learners will be expected to undertake 315 hours of work place learning across the two year program.

Learners will have the opportunity to take part in employer roadshows and we welcome all learners to visit WorldSkills events and enter into WorldSkills competitions. We also help to organise trips to Universities and industry to enhance learner’s course.

Assessment methods

The course will involve both written coursework, employer set projects and examinations.

Further study and career options

Course progression: Degree courses within the Bedford College Group or Degree options within the digital sector

Career progression: Progression into the digital industry within the specialism that you have chosen.
