Water Regulations Training BPEC Level 2 Certificate
This course is a prerequisite if you want to work with portable water in the plumbing industry, and introduces the key issues and regulations.
Entry requirements
No formal qualifications are required before starting this course although the candidate must be working within the plumbing industry.
Course content
During the course you will cover topics including:
- Legislation
- Water Regulations
- Materials and substances in contact with water
- Requirements for water fittings
- Water system design
- Installation and commissioning
- Cross connections
- Back flow prevention
- Cold water services
- Hot water services
- WCs and urinals
- Sanitary appliances and water for outside use.
Assessment methods
The assessment comprises of the following:
- a written assessment
- and where necessary additional oral questions may be asked by the assessor.

On completion of this course you can look to undertake further short courses such as Domestic Hot Water Systems.
Additional information
The candidate must work through a home study pack before undertaking the training and assessment. This will be supplied on payment of fees for this course.
