Warm Air Heating System Design (DAH1) BPEC Certificate
This course is ideal if you are a gas engineer/plumber wishing to update your portfolio of gas competencies.
Entry requirements
To undertake the DAH1 you must hold a current in date Domestic Natural Gas CCN1 qualification. You also need to provide evidence of on-the-job training if you are an initial candidate.
Re-assessing candidates need to provide evidence of previous certification. Training and assessing only options are available.
Course content
During the course you will cover topics including:
- Installation
- Commissioning
- Servicing
- Fault finding
Assessment methods
This course combines two days of training and one day of assessment for initial candidates.
The assessment comprises of the following:
- A practical assessment
- A written assessment
- And where necessary additional oral questions may be asked by the assessor.
Further study and career options
On completion of the DAH1 you can now undertake various training and assessments needed to be competent in other areas of gas work e.g. cookers, meters, warm air and fires.
Additional information
You will need to supply evidence of previous qualifications prior to attending the course. You will need to bring three passport sized photographs and your National Insurance number. Upon payment for the course a training manual will be issued, preferably at least three weeks prior to attending the course. This assessment can be taken up to six months prior to the expiry of your current certificate and still retain the full five years from your expiry date. There is a £35 additional fee for BPEC awarding body certification.
