Pruning Shrubs, Fruit Trees & Ornamental Trees

This short course is designed to enable you to learn how to correctly prune a variety of shrubs, ornamental trees and fruit trees to improve plant health, growth and fruit production. You will have the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of pruning and the different methods used. You will also have the ability to practise and discuss the methods taught.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required.

Course content

The course will focus on developing the skills necessary to confidently prune a variety of shrubs, ornamental trees and fruit trees. It will develop the theory behind pruning for all seasons. Theoretical work is followed by a practical session.
