Wedding Designs Workshop: Advanced

The course is designed to provide you with the opportunity to meet other florists (and training florists) to develop and enhance your knowledge of producing floral designs for weddings. The production of wedding work requires expertise and extreme attention to detail. During this course you will be instructed on advanced floristry techniques to help create beautiful wedding designs. This short advanced workshop is designed to give you the opportunity and challenge of producing floral designs for weddings. This course is for learners who have a passion for floristry and have some previous floristry experience, and would suit professional florists who would like to update their current knowledge and learn new styles.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required but you must have good floristry experience, and be over the age of sixteen.

Course content

This course will focus on the choice of materials, as well as the use of textures, colour and form. Looking at the principles of design, you will be able to practise different techniques using a range of different media. Learning will focus on creating and experimenting with special designs for weddings.

Assessment methods

There is no formal assessment on this course, though you will be informally assessed occasionally as an aid to the development of your skills.

Further study and career options

Upon completion of this course you could progress onto further Floristry courses at the College
