Microsoft Excel: Advanced Programming Using VBA

Builds upon the current knowledge of programming Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) by learning how to extend the functionality and usefulness of Microsoft Excel through added capabilities that are available only through VBA. It builds on knowledge from the Introductory course in Programming Microsoft Excel using VBA by extending knowledge to programming functionality using the Visual Basic Editor.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of the course Introduction to Programming Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), or a good knowledge of creating Macros in Microsoft Excel and using the Microsoft Visual Basic Editor.

Course content

This course will allow you to:

  • Use the For loop to repeat the execution of code
  • Create code that allows users to respond to prompts such as the input box and the message box
  • Identify, select and manipulate worksheet cells more effectively by using appropriate objects, methods and properties
