Database Design and Database Programming with SQL using Oracle

You will learn how to analyse complex business scenarios and create a data model as a design for your database. You will also learn how to manipulate your database by implementing SQL.

Entry requirements

Ideally a knowledge of Data modelling / Use of databases / SQL

Course content

This Oracle Academy course is split into two sections:
  • It begins with topics covering Entity relationship modelling: database design, development, and normalization.
  • It then covers SQL (structured query language) “The language of the database”, Accessing data with SQL, Data definition, manipulation, and control languages, Transaction control.


Qualifications

Oracle Academy Database Design & Database programming with SQL completion college certificates


Further study and career options
  • Ability to move onto Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate exam
  • Move on to learn PL/SQL, a procedural language extension to SQL

Pay by instalments

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
