Understanding Mental Health in Children and Young People TQUK Level 2 Certificate

The purpose of this course is to increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health in children and young people. By completing the qualification, you will develop knowledge of: children and young people’s mental health in context; mental health problems; the impact of mental ill-health and how to support and maintain mental wellbeing in children and young people.

Course content

You will study:

  • Children and young people’s mental health in context
  • Factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health
  • Children and young people’s mental health concerns
  • The impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns
  • How to support children and young people with mental health concerns  

Assessment methods

Learners can choose to work either with online assessment or via printed workbooks.
