Health Pathway Pre T
This qualification is the best pathway for you to progress onto a T-Level in in Healthcare. You will gain knowledge in Human Growth and Development, Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity alongside smaller awards in First Aid and Well-being. You will have intensive delivery of English or Maths to enable you to improve your GCSE grade to meet the criteria for the chosen T Level. Your course will include 100 hours of work placement where you will complete set criteria.
Entry requirements
To begin this study programme you will need...
Duration: 1 year
- 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English or Maths
- One of GCSEs in English and maths must be at Grade 4 or above and the other at Grade 3
Entry will also be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Students will need to have a keen interest in starting a T-level in their chosen industry the following year.
Pre-T prepares students for direct progression to the T level in Education & Childcare – Early Years or Assisting Teaching Pathways. Students must achieve a Grade 4 or above in English and maths to progress onto a T-Level.

Students will have to undertake 100 hours of work placement/work readiness over the year. Students will complete English or Maths GCSE delivery alongside Contextualised English or maths studies.

Further study and career options
Course/Career progression:
Pre-T prepares students for direct progression to the T level in Supporting Healthcare – Nursing or Midwifery pathways. On successful completion of the T Level students can progress to University or seek employment within the Healthcare sector.
