First Line Management CMI Level 3 Certificate


This qualification gives junior managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency. If you are a supervisor or first line manager with operational responsibility, this qualification is for you.


Entry requirements

You will need to have either a Level 2 Business-related qualification OR the ability to demonstrate Level 2 business knowledge through work experience.

Course content

You will study the following units:

  • Resource planning
  • Improving team performance

Assessment methods

You will be assessed on each unit through written reports, presentations and activities.

Further study and career options

On successful completion of this course you can progress on to other courses accredited by the CMI.

Additional information

On this part-time course you will be required to attend College for one evening per week and significant home study will also be required to be successful. Deadlines are set for submission of assessments. Significant reading and preparation of assignments is required in your own time.
