What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a programme of work-based learning. This means you need to be employed before you can start an apprenticeship. If you’re not already employed, we can help you find a suitable job role. If you are employed, your employer needs to support your training with work relevant to your chosen apprenticeship qualification.
How long does it take?
Apprenticeships take between 1-4 years to complete depending on the type and level undertaken.
Who can apply for an apprenticeship?
Anybody aged 16 or over can do an apprenticeship so whether you’re a school leaver or an adult already in employment an apprenticeship could be the right choice for you.
Where can I find an apprenticeship?
You can find all of our vacancies here or set up an online account on the National Apprenticeship Service website where all vacancies nationwide are posted.
Why should I do an apprenticeship?
There are many benefits to doing an apprenticeship but here are the top 5:
- Earn while you learn
- Learn all the skills you need to succeed in our chosen career
- No fees for apprenticeships
- Gain recognised qualifications right up to degree-level
- Future-proof your career
When will I need to attend College?
Apprenticeships can vary greatly some will require the apprentice to attend College one day a week, some require block placement and some apprentices complete all of their qualification in the workplace. College days are considered part of their working week and therefore will be paid.
