Thursday 6 June 2019

Visitors to the Harpur Centre in Bedford will be able to view top talent from Bedford College’s degree-level students at a special pop-up gallery this summer.

Exhibitions will be held from 10am – 4.30pm on:

Saturday June 8th - 14th featuring work from the BA Graphic Design Course

Monday July 8th - 12th a combined show by Fashion, Textiles for Fashion and Photography BA courses

The art being exhibited has been created by degree level students who have progressed at the dedicated South Bank Arts Centre at Bedford College from A Levels and Level 3 Diplomas right up to BA degree (validated by the University of Northamptonshire).

Alan Parsons Head of Art & Design at Bedford College commented:

The quality of work produced by our students sees them competing with, and indeed beating, universities across the country in a variety of competitions year upon year.”

Students at The Bedford College Group can study for top quality art and design BA Hons in Graphic Design, Fashion, Textiles for Fashion and Photography, without the cost of going away to university. Plus they have the added benefit of being within an educational environment which is recognised by industry as one of the best.

*Work from various other cohorts and courses at the college will be shown at a series of exhibitions being held at the riverside South Bank Arts Centre at Bedford College starting from June 7th and running until July 5th. Entrance via Cauldwell Street and visitors must report to campus main reception on the ground floor of the Tower Block.

To add to the Summer Season theme visitors to the exhibition, Gallones Ice Cream will be available from the Edwardian Arcade Bedford selling delicious treats from their bicycle.
