Top tier in training

After collecting a kitchen shelf-full of awards at the International Salon Culinaire at Hotelympia, Bedford College has now been presented with a “Showcase” ABC Award.

The prestigious awards acknowledge the excellence of training provided by the Hospitality department team and, in particular, the top of the tier standard in cake decorating and sugar craft.

Said Assistant Director of Hospitality, Mark Lewis: “We are continuing to set the regional standards here for training across the table in hospitality, and, on top of collecting so many commendations at Hotelympia, the ABC Showcase award is the icing on the cake.”

Paul Eeles, CEO of ABC Awards said, at the ceremony at Restaurant 25 on the 5th floor of the Bedford College Cauldwell Street campus: “We give these awards only to the very best and we wanted to recognise the excellent work here.”

*Tutor Tatiana Goubskaia and students came away with three Merits and four Bronze awards at the Hotelympia event at Excel in London recently. Examples of their work were put in display at Restaurant 25 for the ABC ceremony on Tuesday March 8th.
