Careers progression is really adding up for Bedford College Business and Accounting students, thanks to Ernst & Young LLP.

Chloe Weaver, an Associate of Audit Services at the EY Foundation, who is based at Capability Green in Luton, visited the College’s Cauldwell Street campus to talk about a paid work experience summer programme.

Called Smart Futures, this is a ten month programme based at the Luton office, helping young people gain a variety of transferable skills. After work experience, a mentor will support a young person through their final year of Level 3 studies and help them make choices about on-going study or a move into a career.

Christine Ellis, Careers Service Manager, said: “This is valuable opportunity to earn while learning and will give an important insight into a real work environment. We will be encouraging eligible students to apply.”

The visit was staged during National Careers Week.
