No 1 in UK with 157 Group

A team of students from Bedford College have won the chance to redesign the website of the UK’s premiership organisation of FE Colleges.

The squad, “Benny Ben & The Funky Bunch”, were amongst three teams from Bedford College who were short-listed in the finals, alongside the best from the rest of the UK - and won.

They were presented with a prize by Richard Fuller MP, who is a member of the BIS “Business, Innovation and Skills” group of the House of Commons and supports the advancement of technology training among the young workforce. The event took place at the office of Google in London.

Ian Pryce CBE, Principal and CEO of Bedford College said: “This was an outstanding moment for the team and for Bedford College. It is proof that we are training young people to the highest standards in post-16 education.”

They are all on a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT course at Bedford College
