3 in 1 facility for community

Tuesday 18 February 2014

Trinity Arts & Leisure is a 3 in 1 facility which is open to the public on the same site as The Bedford Sixth Form on Bromham Road.

Since becoming a sixth form college, instead of a private girls’ school, the swimming pool, gym and theatre formerly known as the SPA, is now run as a separate business by BCS Ltd.

The fabulous 25 metre pool is available for individuals or groups, the gym offers a range of new equipment and classes and the theatre is used by the community. In the evenings, at weekends and during school holiday there is plenty of parking available via the main Bromham Road entrance.

Adults and children alike can enjoy the pool and in the school holidays there are special schools for tiny tots and teenagers to enjoy.

The gym and classes will suit people of all levels of fitness who want to exercise in a friendly facility

The modern theatre with comfortable seating has attracted community acting and musical groups such as the Bedford Dramatic Club who will be performing the God of Carnage from March 25th – 29th. The story follows the breakdown in relationships between parents after a playground fight between boys. In May they will be staging the Plaza Suite by Neil Simon.

The theatre is also home to the Bedford Film Society, founded in 1949! It shows a range of quality and foreign language films which cannot be seen in other cinemas in town. The programme continues until 11 March.
