1000th success story at MK Learning Centre

Thursday 3 April 2014

Milton Keynes Learning Centre, part of Bedford College, is celebrating its 1,000th success story.

The Silbury Boulevard facility allows people to update their IT skills and achieve nationally-recognised qualifications which are vital in today’s workplace.

The 1000th student through the door was full of praise for the staff and service:

“They have been so supportive – it has really helped me,” said Angela Baker.

Angela is now hoping to set up her own business after successfully completing an ITQ Extended course.

Previously in sales, Angela is seeking a office-based job closer to home in Bletchley and in her spare time is planning to sell her home-made preserves.

MK Learning Centre Manager Adele Philpott said: “Our numbers have grown so fast here that we are staging this year’s Award Ceremony on Monday March 9th at the church next door as there are far too many to fit into the offices all at the same time.”
