Trips and visits to complement your studies
Our Travel and Tourism students have various opportunities to
participate in trips and visits in this country and abroad – last
year students visited Disneyland in Paris, Brighton and Liverpool.
A number of students were also lucky enough to visit a cabin crew
training facility, and travel students spent a day at Legoland
participating in teambuilding exercises which encourage student
interaction.
Strong local partnerships
We have an excellent partnership with the Bedford County Tourist
Development department which will provide you will with a very good
reflection of the latest trends in the region. We also work with
Thomas Cook, Monarch, Hilton Hotels, Service Air, Woburn Safari
Park and First Choice.
Varied work experience
Last year, a work experience programme for second year National
Diploma and Certificate students provided opportunities for
employment and following their placements students have found work
in the following areas:
- 1 student is working for Menzies Aviation
- 2 are working in Turkey and Cyprus as resort reps for Thomas
Cook and First Choice
- 2 further students are flying with Ryanair.
