Dan Ally – Food Preparation & Cooking NVQ Level 1

Dan initially came to Bedford College to complete his GCSEs and A Levels and realised he wanted to pursue a career in the field of hospitality.

“Although I live in Luton I wanted a change of scenery and the challenge of making a new start. I really enjoyed completing my A Levels at the College and wanted to continue studying in something I knew I would enjoy.

“The teachers have been a great support and I could really see my confidence and abilities improving. I love that the hospitality course enables me to work in a real working restaurant environment at the College, and the course has provided me with lots of practical skills that I have also been able to apply in part-time work at a hotel.

“I am coming back to College to complete the NVQ Level 2 and will progress on to the HND in Hospitality Management. My dream is to move to France and open a restaurant.”
