Our students have successfully put their
communication and business skills to the test for the last 5 years
by heading up Vanilla Market, a commercial venture that offers a
selection of homemade products, including greetings cards, cakes,
artwork and craft items. Students are involved in the production,
retail, administrative and financial aspects of Vanilla Market.
Students have established new retail outlets
and exhibition spaces, for example at Borough Hall, and have
developed links with local suppliers to diversify into a greater
range of products such as jewellery and preserves.
Many of our students have successfully
completed their course and progressed onto further study, including
part-time study on our Pathways programme.
