to improve your job prospects and prepare for further study. This
course will improve your number, measuring and data-handling
skills, as well as prepare you for further study.
Entry requirements:
You do not need any qualifications or experience to start this
course. You will be asked to attend a short informal interview and
undertake a free assessment before your course starts to help
determine your existing skills level.
Course content:
During the course you will cover topics including: - Number -
Shape and Space - Handling Data - Measurement
Assessment methods:
You will be entered for the National Adult Numeracy Test Level 1
or Level 2. The test lasts for one-and-a-quarter hours and consists
of 40 multiple choice questions.
Further study/career options:
Successful completion of this course leads to a
nationally-recognised qualification which can help you to gain
employment or access further learning programmes.

Punctuation - Comprehension - Spelling - Grammar
Assessment methods:
Depending upon the level at which you study, you may be entered
for the National Literacy Test Level 1 or Level 2. The test lasts
for 1 hour and consists of 40 multiple choice questions.
Further study/career options:
This course leads to a nationally-recognised qualification which
may help you to gain employment or access further learning
programmes.
