Care, Child Care & Counselling
Introduction
To work in this sector it is essential to enjoy working with
people and genuinely want to support them. It will be challenging
but if you have good listening skills, observational skills and the
ability to relate to people without being judgmental you could
enjoy a variety of roles in this sector. You could go into
healthcare or youth justice services. You could help reduce crime
in your community, help children develop social and practical
skills, make sure people get the medicines they need – the
possibilities are endless.
You will develop the skills necessary to work
with children or vulnerable individuals and several courses have a
strong vocational element, which is ideal if you wish to gain
practical experience in a working environment. You will be able to
specialise in childcare, health care or social care and will also
have the opportunity to take additional qualifications as part of
your studies. We offer apprenticeships in Children’s Care, Learning
and Development and Health & Social Care.
We also offer a number of CPCAB (Counselling
and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) counselling courses, which
are essential if you intend to pursue a career in counselling.
