Introduction

If you love using your original ideas to create something, then working in the creative sector will be a fun and rewarding experience that enables you to demonstrate your artistic flair. It’s a competitive industry but one the UK currently excels in. Many people enjoy the hub of working in metropolitan areas but creative people are highly sought after by many employers, including large organisations and smaller businesses, design companies and product manufacturers.

Whatever you choose to do, a creative job will allow your personality to shine through. You could control the lighting and special effects at a theatre, design your own line of clothes or see the artwork you have produced in a national publication. If you would like to use your artistic skills to work with other people, there are opportunities to help others in art therapy or community design projects.

We offer a range of Art, Design and Media qualifications from introductory programmes right up to degree-level courses. We have a great range of visiting speakers and you can be sure that our courses will give you the opportunity to sample a range of art and design activities, build a portfolio of creative work and focus on your chosen specialist area.
