During your son or daughter’s course of study at Bedford College
we make sure that you are kept up-to-date with how
they are doing, and what is going on in our community. We feel
students perform better when their parents take an active
role in their education, so the College publishes monthly
newsletters and updates by email and organises a number of
events throughout the year that you are invited to attend.
Student Progress Reports
Issued twice a year, at the end of November
and at the end of March, the reports aim to keep you up-to-date
with your son or daughter’s academic performance and progress.
Parents’ e-Newsletter & Events e-Update
There’s so much going on at Bedford College, and whilst our
students experience it every day, what about parents? Our email
updates are designed to keep you informed about the College and all
of our latest news and events, so you can be a bigger part of your
son or daughter’s life at Bedford College. Interested? Sign up here

Parents’ Consultation Evenings
The best way to find out how your son or
daughter is doing at Bedford College. You will have the opportunity
to discuss their work, performance, and progress with tutors and
teaching staff.
Parents’ Information Evenings
We hold events to provide information to
parents on the College and wider education topics, for example with
our
Higher Education Information Evening for Parents &
Guardians, which aims to demystify the process of applying to
university.
Open Days
A great way to absorb information and get a
feel of College life, we strongly encourage parents to attend
Open
Days with their son or daughter. There are students and
teachers on hand to chat about everything from classes and course
content, to getting the bus. In short, it’s the ideal way
to discover what the College has to offer your son or
daughter.
