Welcome to NITP at Bedford College. NITP specialise in offering,
high quality, advanced IT apprenticeships nationally, and NITP's
partnership with Bedford College means that we can now offer these
exciting apprenticeship opportunities to students in Bedford.
If your aged 16-19, NITP can help kick
start your career in IT. You will be employed from Day 1, learning
new skills in the workplace at a pace that is right for you,
working towards the achievements of an Advanced Apprenticeship in
IT, Software, Web and Telecoms.

Through NITP’s Advanced Apprenticeship
Training in IT you will work towards:

Systems & Principles.

What will you learn?
The course content from NITP follows a
framework of units that gives you the best start to your career. In
a nutshell you will gain the following skills as a minimum:
- Ability to strip down, repair
computers and change faulty parts
- Install, configure and
update operating systems (XP/Vista/Windows 7)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose
faults on PC’s and simple networks
- Security and account
management / administration
- Troubleshoot and resolve MS
Office application problems
- Design, develop and maintain
websites
How much will you get paid?
You will earn a minimum of £2.60 an hour and
you will be expected to do 30 hours a week. However some employers
will start their apprentices on higher wages, in fact government
research states that the average wage for an apprentice is £170 per
week, with some being up to £210 per week.
