You may progress to an advanced apprenticeship. This is
particularly valuable if you are aiming to become a technician or
work in a supervisory or middle management role.
Successful completion of an advanced
apprenticeship may enable you to progress on to a higher education
course or university. With an advanced apprenticeship you will
gain:
- A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 3.
- A technical certificate, such as BTEC National Diploma or a
City and Guilds Progression Award which develops your occupational
knowledge.
- Key skills qualification, such as IT and communications..
An advanced apprenticeship (Level 3) is
equivalent to two A-Level passes.
