BTEC Applied Science and A-Level Human Biology

“I hope to bring my knowledge and understanding of the industry to the classroom to make science relevant. Human biology as a subject has a broad range of interlinked disciplines, from the molecular and cellular aspects of biology all the way to how the human body and organisms link to populations. As one of the sciences it opens up doors and possibilities to a range of courses at university. Studying biology and sciences can improve your job prospects as science qualifications are highly regarded by employers. Students learn many transferable skills, the ability to approach complex problems in an analytical and logical way, and to methodically and accurately handle data.”

A-Level Psychology

“James and Judy are experienced specialist psychology teachers and have been teaching Psychology at Bedford College for about 10 years. “The best thing about teaching psychology is that students cover a diverse range of subjects. Psychology is relevant to the world students live in and addresses interesting questions such as: how gamblers think, or what happens to the brain during sleep?” “We both genuinely enjoy the subject and continue our own psychology study. Psychology is a well respected subject for university applications, and helps develop a range of skills including good communication, analysis and data interpretation.”
