Learning Resources Centre (LRC)


Learning Resources Centre

Fresh and modern, the LRC is a great place to study outside of classes. If you need to get a project finished, or meet classmates for some group study, there are workspaces and computers available for your use. There are over 30,000 items in the LRC, including a growing number of e-resources. Having the books you need online means you can learn at home or wherever you go – something that is proving very popular with our current students.

If you are studying a course such as Engineering or Construction, our realistic working environments will help you hone your technical skills. Get your hands on a real aeroplane engine or practice your technique in workshop bays designed for carpentry, electrical work and more.

Yourspace Common Room

The hub of the College community, this room is your dedicated space to relax between classes. It’s also a great place to meet new friends on different courses, as it is a communal space for all students on campus.

South Bank Arts Centre


South Bank Arts Centre

If you’re taking an Art & Design or Performing Arts, Music Technology & Media course you’ll benefit from industry standard technology including media and music suites, a theatre, TV studios, editing suite and a graphic design studio with Macs. Springs Sports & Leisure Centre

Springs

Sport students can explore their studies at our modern £2.5 million sports centre, which is also available for all students – so you can hit the gym at our fully equipped fitness studio, work up a sweat in a dance fitness class, or play some team sports in our full-sized sports hall.

Brooks Hair & Beauty Salon

Our modern working commercial salon on Bedford High Street is home to our Hair & Beauty students, where they provide treatments to paying customers. £2 Million Margaret Stansfeld

This beautiful new building, in keeping with the historic streetscape, opened in 2015 and provides a specialist environment for students aged 16+ with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Gas & Plumbing Technology Cente

Our City & Guilds and British Plumbing Employers Council (BPEC) approved training centre based in Kempston, will provide you with some of the most advanced equipment in the UK including, solar panels, photovoltaic (PV) panels, rain water harvesting, Dimplex ground source, heat and air pumps, and unvented hot water systems.

Vehicle Technology Centre

Also based in Kempston, our dedicated automotive training facility is the ultimate environment to develop your technical vehicle repair skills. The Centre is kitted out with engine and repair bays, paint mix and spray rooms and a body repair area – the ultimate environment for a budding mechanic.

Munch & Mocha – Restaurant and Coffee Shop

Catch up with friends over a relaxing coffee, savour a delicious lunch or grab a snack when you’re on the go – Munch & Mocha serves a wide range of hot and cold food, including meals, lighter bites and vegetarian options.
