Industry opportunities

We have a long standing commitment to meeting the needs of industry. We work closely with many major employers in the region to develop the right course content to ensure employability of our students when they complete their study programmes.

We work with large technology companies and students complete projects by working with companies such as London Electronics, Cranfield Precision and Pressfab Engineering. Apprentices enrolled onto HNC/HND Electrical & Electronic Engineering are employed by local and national engineering firms with whom the Group maintains an excellent training relationship, including Danfoss Randall and Network Rail.

Expert tutors and top-class facilities

Our £4.5 million Advanced Engineering Centre at Bedford College houses newer, lighter, analytical equipment, BIM Software and robotics to enable you to move through to the higher level training essential in today’s manufacturing and civil engineering markets.

Across other sites we have fully-equipped engineering workshops for both electronics and mechanical engineering, alongside the latest in computer aided design (CAD) software.

Student success

Our Engineering courses are offered at all levels to enable progression through the different stages of your skills development.

We also offer progression opportunities through to degree-level once you complete your Level 3 qualification. Many of our courses give you the opportunity to become a fully-accredited engineer and are flexible to enable you to gain experience in a working environment while you study.
