Bedford College, which has won a
series of accolades in the past 12 months, now has winning website,
according to the College Marketing Network FE
First Awards, which are the sector’s annual
opportunity to celebrate marketing best practice. It is the second
year running that the College has been recognised at the awards
ceremony, after the marketing team also picked up the prize for
Best Annual Report in 2008.
The new look website launched in
June and was designed with the customer in mind, whether that
person is a 14 year old student thinking about where to study
post-16 or a business person looking for staff training or
professional development.
The website has to appeal to a wide
ranging audience and give sufficient information at the click of a
button, be easy to navigate and attractive to view. In addition the
website captures useful information from those who want to sign up
or stay posted.
The digital marketing revolution
continues at Bedford College with people being able become a fan of

Services on Twitter. Connecting with the College via these
social networking sites is a great way to keep up to date with
news, offers and events all around the College.
Director of
Sales & Marketing Sarah Baxter says: “We have to keep
up to date with new forms of communications here to make sure
people of all ages and backgrounds can gain the best possible
access to education and training via Bedford College.”

ten FE Colleges in the UK with Outstanding Ofsted and Beacon Status
awards among many others.
