Ministry of youth

We heard that there were great things going on at the Ministry of Youth, so we sent our roving student reporter, A Level Media student, Sophie Deans over to see what it’s all about.

Love is in the Air at Ministry of Youth!

Does another boring Wednesday night sat at home in front of the television sound like your cup of tea?... didn't think so! That is why when the Ministry of Youth hosted yet another successful club night on 17th February we all breathed a huge sigh of relief. This was the 7th Ministry of Youth event that has been held at the cellar bar in Ampthill and this night proved to be just as popular as the others.

With the Valentine's Day theme creating a little love in the air, everyone was dressed to impress and ready to party the night away! There were plenty of new faces to be seen and the teens were clearly impressed with everything the night had to offer. Enthusiastic DJ Leo amazed the crowd once again with his latest energetic tunes which left not one person off the dance floor.

By the sea of smiles it was plain to see just how appreciative these teenagers were to be able to have a place where they could let loose, have fun and make new friends.

When one girl was asked what she would change about the Ministry of Youth nights she replied 'absolutely nothing... I just wish there were more of them!'

For many young teens in the area there is a lack of things to do and for a long time there has been a call for more opportunities for under 18's. Luckily the Ministry of Youth have answered this call and have given these teenagers a chance to meet new people and enjoy some fantastic new experiences. The venue in Ampthill is perfect for giving the teens aged 13-16 the 'clubbing experience' in an environment that is appropriate for their age group.

As well as Ministry of Youth, other events are staged by the same partners such as Health and Beauty nights for young girls in Biggleswade. This gives young girls a chance to get health and beauty tips and makeovers whilst chatting with friends over a hot chocolate. Much like the Ministry of Youth nights this encourages young teens to enjoy themselves without feeling the pressures and challenges that they may be faced with when socialising on the streets.

With the excellent success at the most recent club night, it is no secret that everyone cannot wait to see what the Ministry of Youth has to offer next!

Catch the next Ministry of Youth night on the 14th April 2010 at the Cellar Bar in Ampthill.
