InstallerLive
As a leading training provider for the construction
industry Bedford College took part in InstallerLive, the UK's
national heating and plumbing show, held in
September. The show gives people the chance to meet suppliers
face-to-face, see the latest products put through their paces, and
keep up to date with the latest technical information.
Bedford College provides training, including the latest renewable
technologies, to those working in the heating and plumbing
industry. Information on gas
and plumbing short
courses was taken direct to major manufacturers, suppliers, and the
large number of visitors attending the show at the Ricoh Arena in
Coventry.
Warren Edwards, Centre Director for Technology
& Construction at Bedford College, said:
“InstallerLive gave us the opportunity to
reach out to a wide cross-section of the industry from plumbers and
gas engineers to manufacturers and suppliers. As a leading
provider of renewable technologies we used the show as a platform
to tell people about our excellent training courses and develop
partnerships in this growing industry.
“Renewable and sustainable technologies such
as rainwater harvesting, solar, ground and air-source heating are
all having a huge impact on those who work in the industry. We
offer courses that will give plumbers and gas engineers the
industry recognised qualifications they need.
“As more people become aware of the need to
conserve energy there will be more demand for these new
technologies. We provide the courses so that the industry is
ready to meet that demand.”
