A very special marathon

Bedford College student Adam Layer joined Iraq veteran Phil Packer to walk side by side for an hour of the London Marathon.

Phil suffered severe spinal injures in the war and was not expected to walk again. Adam, who was given an artificial leg at the age of three, was one of 26 young people invited to accompany Phil for each of the 26 hours it took him to complete the course.
