The best thing about working at Bedford College is definitely
the team environment in which I work. Everyone works together to
help our students achieve. Bridges specifically looks after
students from 14-16, giving them a taste of more vocational studies
– taking students outside of school one day a week.
Alongside students on day release from school we also work with
several disaffected and disengaged students through the ‘way to
work’ scheme. Helping these students through their course and
giving them a sense of achievement – actually engaging with them,
is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
