Facilities Assistant

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week

Two Teachers

We require two exceptional and talented teachers who have the ability and experience to teach two or more of the following subjects in our opening year: Art, Technology, Computing, History, Geography, Physical Education, Religious Education and Modern Foreign Languages, in our opening year. Teaching will revert fully to subject specialism by the second year.

These opportunities offer the right candidates the chance to play an integral role in developing the curriculum at the Academy, with the potential for additional responsibilities as we grow. We are looking for expert practitioners with successful teaching experience across the full ability range.

Our Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (CertEd/PGCE) is designed for those looking to teach vocational based subjects in a college environment OR academic based subjects such as GCSEs and A-Levels, in a Sixth Form environment.

Teaching placements at The Bedford Sixth Form

The Cert Ed/PGCE is a qualification for those who want to teach in the Adult Learning Sector (16-19) and is a University of Bedfordshire accredited Award. Both pathways lead to QTLS (Qualified Teacher in Learning and Skills) which is the main requirement to teach in Post-Compulsory Education. We have both part-time and full-time routes available.
