We have a strong partnership with the University of Bedfordshire
and they accredit all the Foundation Degrees and many of the
teaching qualifications that we offer.
You will only need to commit to two years of full-time study to
gain a degree-level qualification at the College, but our link with
the University of Bedfordshire gives you the opportunity to
continue with your studies progressing straight on to the final
‘top up’ year of an Honours degree.
The University of Bedfordshire has campuses in Bedford and Luton
and is a modern, vibrant university offering high-quality,
career-focused teaching and excellent student support. The
University continues to go from strength to strength and
applications to study at the University have more than doubled in
the last three years (UCAS).
The University scored top marks - a ‘confidence’ rating - in its
most recent Quality Assurance Agency audit, and received the
prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2011.
Bedfordshire also received special praise in the latest Government
Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) for its “world-leading”
research.
Focusing on employability through its vocational courses,
innovative teaching methods and links with industry, the University
is able to ensure its students are kept up-to-date with employer
needs and graduates can enjoy employment rates as high as 90 per
cent (in work and/or further study within six months of graduating)
according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education
2010.
Thanks to our partnership with the University of Bedfordshire,
you can also take advantage of their modern, state-of-the-art
facilities, which are undergoing a major, multi-million pound
expansion and development course, including improvements to the
Bedford campus which is within walking distance of Bedford
College.
