their needs and interests (linked to PSHE at KS4). This may include
Health & Well Being, Money Management, Skills for Work and
Applications & Interviews. Many of these sessions will be
delivered by our specialist Student Support team and external
speakers. Students will also undertake several short projects.
There is also a strong focus on outdoor
education, team building and raising self esteem. Varied sporting
activities are also on offer.
Students have ongoing intensive personal
support from their tutors and support worker. The support worker
will also liaise closely with the school, parents/carers and other
external agencies in supporting the progress of individual
students.
Post-16 progression is a key aspect of the Way
to Work programme, and students will also be provided with careers
advice and pro-active support throughout the programme to enable
them to progress onto further education, training or
employment.
