The main campus is a friendly, bustling centre of student
activity located on the attractive embankment of the River Great
Ouse, barely a stone's throw from Bedford town centre. This campus
is home to students studying vocational courses and
apprenticeships, as well as to Bridges 14+ centre, apprenticeships
and Bedford College Training Services.
By car
The front and west car parks are for students and
visitors. Due to great demand, car parking is limited. A
pay and display system is in operation between 7am and 10pm. The
car park is available for public use at weekends, at a cost of £2
per day. Student parking is £1 per day and all students will also
need to display a student permit, issued at enrolment. For further
information about alternative car parking and travel arrangements,
visit Come Around to
Bedford.
By bike
There are a number of cycle paths into the town centre and there
are cycle storage racks located outside main reception.
Public transport
The College is committed to Green Transport measures, and
encourages students and visitors to car share wherever
possible, or find an alternative mode of travel. The nearest bus
stops are outside the main College site and
opposite Borough Hall. The bus station is a 5 minute walk
and the main train station is a 15 minute walk. St. John's
station is a five minute walk and is served by the Marston Vale
Community Rail Partnership. Bedford also has an excellent
Park and Ride
scheme in operation.
