Directions from the North / South M1

  • M1 Junction 13 to A421 to Bedford.
  • Follow the signs to A6 Town Centre.
  • Continue over the traffic lights at the Hospital which is on your left.
  • Take first exit at roundabout and move into the right hand lane.
  • Follow road to the right with Bedford Borough Council in front of you.
  • Continue along Cauldwell Street – Bedford College is on your left.

Directions from the West (A428 Northampton)

  • Follow the signs to Bedford and Town Centre.
  • After crossing over the railway bridge follow the signs to A6 Luton. Continue along the High Street and over the River Bridge.
  • Continue towards St Paul’s Square until you approach a roundabout.
  • Take the 4th exit onto Kingsway for approximately 0.2 miles
  • Lastly, turn right onto Cauldwell Street - Bedford College is on your left.

Directions from A1 North

  • Head south on A1 toward Great N Rd
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A421 heading to
    M1/Milton Keynes/Luton/A6/Bedford/A428
  • Take the A603 exit toward Bedford/Sandy/Hitchin/Shefford/A600
  • At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A603/Cambridge Rd
  • Continue to follow A603
  • Go through 3 roundabouts
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A5140/Rope Walk
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A6/Kingsway for approximately 0.2 miles
  • Lastly, turn right onto Cauldwell Street - Bedford

Directions from A1 South

  • Head north on A1(M)
  • Continue onto A1. Go through 2 roundabouts
  • Slight left toward A603/Bedford Rd (signs for Bedford/A603)
  • Turn right toward A603/Bedford Rd
  • Take the 1st left onto A603/Bedford Rd. Continue to follow A603. Go through 4 roundabouts
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A5140/Rope Walk
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A6/Kingsway for approximately 0.2 miles
  • Lastly, turn right onto Cauldwell Street. Cauldwell House is located on the right approximately 0.1 miles along the road.

Parking

There is limited car parking available on site.  A pay and display system is in operation between 7.00am and 10.00pm, and costs £1 per day (£2 per day at the weekends).  There are a number of public car parks located close by.  For further information about alternative car parking and travel arrangements, please click here.

We are committed to green transport measures, and encourage visitors to car share wherever possible, or find an alternative mode of travel. The nearest bus stops are outside the main College site and opposite Borough Hall. The bus station is a five minute walk and the main train station is a
15 minute walk and served by First Capital Connect  and East Midlands Trains. St. John's station is a five minute walk and is served by the Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership. Bedford also has an excellent park and ride scheme in operation.
