Chair of the Corporation

Since Incorporation in 1994 the Corporation of Bedford College has been led by a succession of impressive Chairs whose personal qualities have enabled our Corporation members to combine their many talents and experiences further to support the realisation of our ambitions.

As a result of the decision of our current Chair to retire, we have an opportunity to recruit a new Chair of Corporation.

The successful person will be appointed as a Corporation member with a standard term of office of four years and will serve the first two years as Chair of the Corporation.

Our Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (CertEd/PGCE) is designed for those looking to teach vocational based subjects in a college environment OR academic based subjects such as GCSEs and A-Levels, in a Sixth Form environment.

Teaching placements at The Bedford Sixth Form

The Cert Ed/PGCE is a qualification for those who want to teach in the Adult Learning Sector (16-19) and is a University of Bedfordshire accredited Award. Both pathways lead to QTLS (Qualified Teacher in Learning and Skills) which is the main requirement to teach in Post-Compulsory Education. We have both part-time and full-time routes available.
